A team from the office of the president led by Lt. Col. Ambaako Kibrai has praised Amolatar district local government officials for creditable service delivery to its communities.
Lt. Col Ambaako who is also senior presidential advisor on mobilization was at the district on Thursday 16th.May.2024 with Hon Fredrick Mbagadhi Nkayi monitoring government programs and projects said they are obliged for what they found on ground.
The team who visited among other projects the construction of Etam seed secondary school, roads and PDM projects said that the information that was given to them by some individuals from the district is totally different from what they found on ground.
Lt. Col. Ambaako therefore applauded the district leaders for the commendable job.
He said that the information that reached the president was not good about service delivery in Amolatar.
He urged leaders at different levels to unite and work together and avoid issues of false allegations to the president that hinder development.
Among other things, he said issues of health workers reporting late and shouting at patients, mismanagement of government funds and community failure to understand service delivery.
“The information that reached the president was alarming he was told no government project is being implemented in Amolatar, among them schools, roads, hospitals, emyooga and PDM that prompted them to come for a fact finding mission but l want to encourage leaders to continue with tremendous job that’s is being observed on the group, am also asking for unity from leaderships to avoid allegations and intrigue to the president”. Ambaako Said.
He advised District leaderships to always engage lower leaders and community when monitoring government projects so that they equally participate in the process of development.
‘When going for monitoring make sure to get along with lower leaders, Mps and community members so that when asked about any government projects in their locality they can positively respond”.Ambaako Added.
However when responding to the issues of FPU and fishermen at lake Kyoga Ambaako advised the leaders to unite and have a dialogue with Commander of FPU so that they get the proper ways of sorting out problems causing shooting in the lake.
“Sit down with FPU commander discuss issues that fishermen think are not right, call stake holders to attend and all leaders at different levels for proper fishing community, all I have seen because of no unity from the top leaders at the district, the issues of the lake may take long and yet it is simple and can be solved “.Ambaako Advised.
Meanwhile the chairperson Amolatar district Hon.Geoffery Ocen Kiring said the district is always implementing any government projects that come to the district.

He applauded the government of Uganda under Leadership of his Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for a tremendous job to the populace of Amolatar.
Meanwhile, the Chief Administrative Officer Mpiiwa Samuel Paul confirmed receiving 500million of the 1billion the parliament approved for road works at the district.
He added that the district is working on the roads, levelling and raising of Swampy areas adding that the big challenge they have is routine breakdown of the road equipments and roads in swampy areas that need special attention.
The NRM chairman Hon James Olobo Dubai, asked government to recruit medical staff for the new upgraded Health centers in the district.
He requested the government to facelift Amolatar health center IV.
He also said that the fisherman who was recently killed was involved in a physical exchange with the FPU.
He also added that no parliament has passed the removing of Updf in the lake.
He asked fishermen to stop using illegal nets if they don’t want FPU to take action against them.
However the RDC Amolatar Okello Francis Rwotlonyo said that his first goal is for unity urging leaders to work together.
He also said that they can’t manage to stay apart “let’s work together so that our community do not suffer.
He appealed to leaders to control emotional intelligence to avoid being blamed by voters.
Docus Akite acting SACCAO Namasale Sub County said government should help and ensure there is early delivery of Drugs at the health facilities.
” l am very annoyed on how the drugs are being delivered at the district, just last week we received drugs for three circles. The drugs that were supposed to be delivered on last circle of which even some drugs are expiring soon, the government should ensure that drugs reach on time not the way they are being delivered”. Akite added.
