As the first term holiday of 2025 approaches, Canon Moses Ogwal, the esteemed head teacher of Namasale Technical School in Amolatar and the clan head of Otek-Olima-Kwanga, has taken the opportunity to deliver an important message to parents and students.
Emphasising the vital role that family plays in a child’s development, he urged parents to safeguard their children as they return home for the break.
In his address, Canon Ogwal specifically highlighted the dangers associated with attending disco dances during the holiday period.
He warned that such activities could have detrimental effects on the future of young people, urging parents to monitor their children’s social engagements and ensure they remain focused on constructive pursuits.
Furthermore, he encouraged students and pupils to make the most of their shorter holiday by assisting their parents with household chores.
This gesture not only fosters a sense of responsibility but also strengthens family bonds, teaching young people the value of hard work and community support.
In addition to these important messages, Canon Ogwal proudly announced that Namasale Technical School will be participating in an innovation exhibition scheduled to take place in Kampala from 28th to 29th April 2025.
The exhibition presents an exciting opportunity for the school to showcase a variety of innovative projects that students have been tirelessly working on throughout the year.
Among the impressive exhibits will be the production of reusable pads, shoe manufacturing, and advancements in solar system development.
Canon Ogwal expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting that the President of the Republic of Uganda is expected to attend, further highlighting the significance of the innovations being presented.
He called upon the entire community to support the students as they prepare for this prestigious opportunity, which not only serves to enhance the profile of Namasale Technical School but also contributes to the broader goals of sustainable development and empowerment within the region.
In closing, Canon Ogwal’s heartfelt appeal serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility shared by parents, teachers, and students to ensure a safe and productive holiday.
Through cooperation and a commitment to positive values, the future of the children can be secured, paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
