In a commendable initiative aimed at nurturing young talent, Mr Okodo Peter, an aspirant for Kioga North Member of Parliament, has launched a programme to support various clubs and football teams across the parishes in the Kioga North constituency.
This effort highlights his commitment to fostering growth and development within the community.
On Saturday, 12 July 2025, the Blue Rangers football team received a generous donation of uniforms and a football — a gesture facilitated by Mr Apenyo Felix, who delivered the items on behalf of Mr Okodo.
During the presentation, Mr Apenyo emphasised that the support extended beyond political motivations.
He encouraged the team to view this as an opportunity to further develop their skills and passion for the game, stressing the importance of dedication and hard work in sport.
The impact of Mr Okodo’s initiative was clearly evident as the players beamed with excitement upon receiving their new uniforms.
The team manager and captain took a moment to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mr Okodo for his unwavering support. “We are truly thankful for this generous gesture,” he said. “It not only boosts our morale but also inspires us to work harder and strive for excellence on the pitch.
We pray that God blesses Mr Okodo for his kindness and commitment to the development of our people in Kioga North.”
The Blue Rangers see this support not merely as an enhancement of their sporting activities, but as a symbol of hope and encouragement from local leaders who believe in the power of youth engagement through sport.
Through such initiatives, Mr Okodo Peter is not only investing in the future of these young athletes but also laying the foundation for greater community cohesion and aspiration in Kioga North.
