On Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, the Amolatar People Voices Association achieved a remarkable milestone by raising an impressive 9,899,000 million through a dynamic fundraising event designed to acquire essential catering supplies.

This successful initiative showcased the community’s commitment to supporting local catering groups and enhancing service offerings across the region.

Col. Dr. John Francis Ongia, a prominent figure in the community and aspirant for Kioga County parliamentary seat come 2026-2031, generously contributed 1 million to this noble cause.

Addressing the eighteen catering groups assembled for the event, Col. Ongia commended the members for their initiative in forming these groups, highlighting that their collective efforts represent a commendable path forward for the community of Kioga County and Amolatar.

In his inspiring address, Col. Ongia encouraged the citizens of Kioga County to remain steadfast, announcing his intention to return and contest in the upcoming Kioga County parliamentary race.

 His words resonated with hope and determination, motivating attendees to persist in their endeavors for collective growth and support.

The guest of honor, Woman Member of Parliament for Amolatar, Dr. Agness Atim Apea, echoed similar sentiments during her speech.

She expressed her unwavering support for all eighteen catering groups present at the event and emphasized the importance of trust among electorates during the primaries.

Dr. Apea highlighted the exemplary work of the Arwot Catering Service, which has been instrumental in providing aid to the Etam community and Amolatar at large, especially during times of joy and sorrow.

In a call to action, Dr. Apea urged those not currently part of any group to consider joining.

She stressed that participation in such groups facilitates access to vital resources from both the government and non-governmental organizations, thereby promoting individual development and community strength.

The Amolatar People Voices Association consists of radio callers who anticipate utilizing these funds efficiently to improve the capabilities of local catering services, thereby ensuring they can persist in serving the community in various capacities.
