Road accident involving diana truck claims one life injuring several others in Atur_ Dokolo_

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, a tragic road accident occurred in Atur involving a Diana truck.

The vehicle was returning from Kwania, where it had transported mourners from Amolatar to attend the burial of the beloved headteacher of Ebenezer Nursery and Boarding Primary School, Amolatar.

Reports indicate that the truck overturned during its journey, resulting in the death of one individual on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Dafine, a resident of Amirimiri in Amolatar District. Many passengers sustained severe injuries, with two pupils, who were traveling with their parents in the same truck, reported to be in stable condition despite their injuries.

Among the injured, two individuals are currently in critical condition, Apio Sandra a former matron at Ebenezer Nursery and Boarding School.

The injured parties are receiving medical care at Dokolo Health Center IV, while the body of Dafine has been transported to Kaberamaido Mortuary.

The driver of the Diana truck reportedly fled the scene following the accident, and authorities are currently working to locate him.
