Archbishop Raphael P’mony Wokorach confirmed 53 students into the Catholic faith during a moving ceremony at Archbishop Flynn Secondary School in Pader on Wednesday, 13 November 2024. The event aimed to inspire young believers and encourage them to embrace Christian values in their daily lives.

Among those confirmed, 10 students were from Ogom Seed School, 2 from Pader Town College, and 41 from the host school, Archbishop Flynn. The Archbishop stressed the crucial role parents play in nurturing their children’s faith.

“I urge you, parents, to raise your children in the faith, guiding them to grow as good citizens and positive role models in our society,” said Archbishop Wokorach during his address.

He also underscored the significance of the Sacrament of Confirmation. “Confirmation strengthens your commitment to the Christian faith. You are now ‘warriors for Christ’ and must resist all negative influences in your lives,” he encouraged the newly confirmed Christians.

Delivered in both Luo and English, his message highlighted the virtues of the Catholic Church, urging the students to uphold these principles in all aspects of their lives.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the spiritual journey of the confirmed students, inspiring them to live out their faith with pride and dedication.
