On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Mr. Okodo Peter, the parliamentary hopeful for Kioga North Constituency, ignited a wave of excitement among the citizens of Corner Nambere , Adum ward Etam Town council Amolatar district especially the youth.
The highlight of the day was his generous donation of 30 iron sheets dedicated to aiding a group of young individuals in roofing their much-anticipated football hall.
While presenting the iron sheets, Okodo lauded the youth of Nambere, describing them as visionaries endowed with the potential for hard work and transformative development in their community. “You are the driving force behind progress in Kioga North,” he declared, inspiring those present to continue striving for greatness.
Emphasizing the importance of perseverance, Okodo encouraged the youths to remain steadfast in their efforts, asserting that their hard work would eventually attract recognition from the government.
This acknowledgment could pave the way for further support, ultimately cultivating a thriving environment for growth and opportunity. “
My actions demonstrate my commitment to you, the people of Kioga North,” he asserted, reinforcing his dedication to fulfilling his promises.
In addition to his community support initiatives, Okodo expressed confidence in ensuring a peaceful transition within the Kioga North constituency, highlighting his vision for a harmonious future.
The youth who received the iron sheets expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Okodo for his generosity. “We promise to work diligently and transform our living conditions,” one young recipient stated, reflecting the renewed hope instilled by Okodo’s actions.
In a related event, in Acamcutu Village, located in Etam sub-county, Okodo also made a significant impact by repairing a borehole that had been non-functional for three years.
The community erupted in joy and relief as they welcomed the return of clean water to their village.
Odongo Gorge, a prominent water user in the area, praised Okodo for his generosity and commitment to addressing the basic needs of a community that had long suffered due to a lack of clean water.
The women of Acamcutu, who had been particularly affected by this deprivation, expressed their immense joy over the borehole repair and eagerly pledged their unwavering support for Okodo’s parliamentary ambitions. “We are grateful for the restoration of our water source and will stand beside Okodo in his quest to serve our constituency,” one woman remarked, echoing the sentiments of many in the community.
