Kamilo Olwit Denies DP Allegations, Affirms Loyalty to NRM in Amolatar District Chairmanship Bid as election is set for 1st.August.2025

– Kamilo Olwit, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) aspirant for the Amolatar District Chairmanship, has strongly refuted allegations circulating on social media claiming he is a member of the Democratic Party (DP). 

Olwit dismissed the claims as “baseless propaganda” and a “smear campaign” orchestrated by his political opponents to undermine his candidature.

 He challenged his detractors to provide proof of his alleged DP affiliation, insisting that he remains a committed member of the ruling NRM party. 

Speaking to journalists in Amolatar, Olwit reaffirmed his loyalty to the NRM, stating that the allegations were a desperate attempt by his rivals to tarnish his reputation. 

“These are falsehoods being spread by individuals who fear competition. I have been a staunch NRM supporter for years, and my record is clear. If anyone has evidence that I belong to DP, let them present it to the public instead of hiding behind social media,’’ Olwit declared. 

Olwit urged his opponents to focus on issue-based politics rather than engaging in mudslinging. He emphasized his commitment to delivering development, improving service delivery, and fostering unity in Amolatar District if elected. 

“The people of Amolatar deserve leaders who will address their challenges—poor roads, inadequate healthcare, and unemployment—not those spreading lies to gain political advantage,” he said. 

Local NRM supporters have rallied behind Olwit, describing him as a grassroots mobilizer with a proven track record. Many dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. 

“We know Kamilo Olwit as a dedicated NRM leader. These rumors are just tactics to confuse voters,” said one resident.  

As the race for the NRM district chairmanship heats up, Olwit remains focused on his campaign, confident that the party’s delegates will see through the propaganda and support his bid. 

The NRM primaries in Amolatar are expected to be highly competitive, with candidates vying to secure the party’s ticket ahead of election scheduled for 1st.August.2025
