A total of 2,503 Primary Seven candidates in Amolatar District will sit the pre-Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) mock exams on Tuesday and Wednesday at 56 examination centres.
The mock exams will begin with Mathematics on Tuesday morning, followed by Social Studies in the afternoon. On Wednesday, Integrated Science and Health Education will be held in the morning, with English Language in the afternoon.
The exams, originally scheduled for last week, were postponed to this week to allow the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) to conduct an education census.
According to the district education office, teachers will meet at Alemere Primary School on Thursday after the exams to prepare for marking, which will begin on Friday. The results are expected to be released on 21 August 2025 at the District Education Hall.
It is hoped that the timely sitting and release of the mock results will enable teachers to analyse learners’ performance and address weaknesses ahead of the final PLE later this year.
Parents have been urged to support their children during the mock exams to improve preparation and performance in the PLE.
