In a commendable effort to enhance the health status of Kioga County in Amolatar District, James Patrick Ogwalpadi, a contestant representing the Uganda People’s Congress (UPC), has donated two ambulances to support the local community of Kioga County.

This significant gesture reflects his commitment to prioritizing the wellbeing of residents over mere election promises.

In an interview with our reporter, Ogwalpadi emphasized that effective leadership should translate into tangible benefits for the people. “A good leader should bring something that can help the people rather than promising development if elected,” he stated.

He highlighted the lack of support from politicians in Amolatar, vowing that if elected as the UPC flag bearer and Member of Parliament for Kioga County, he will focus intently on addressing developmental issues in the area.

Ogwal Padi noted that his initiative is particularly beneficial for women, specifically mentioning the assistance provided by Dr. Agnes Atim, the woman MP.

Addressing the financial resources allocated to MPs and constituency development, Ogwalpadi promised to utilize these funds effectively to catalyze significant change in Amolatar, which he believes has been neglected for too long.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ogangi Sam, who leads Ogwalpadi’s campaign team, shared his perspective on the crucial role of delivering development before seeking office. “In UPC, we value contestants who bring genuine development to the table rather than offering empty promises,” Ogangi expressed.
