Community embraces environmental initiative led by Col. Dr. John Francis Ongia

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Col. Dr. John Francis Ongia made a significant contribution to the Ocamolum St. Peter Clever Chapel’s tree planting initiative, donating 350 tree seedlings. This act is part of a larger effort to promote environmental sustainability within Kioga County, and it has garnered enthusiastic support from local community leaders.

During the donation ceremony, Mr. Anyem Morish, Coordinator for the Nalubwoyo Sub County Amolatar district , urged residents to rally behind visionary leaders like Col. Ongia.

He emphasized the myriad benefits that come with such support, showcasing how collaboration with committed individuals can lead to substantial improvements in the community. “We must unite in our efforts to support leaders who prioritize the well-being of our environment and our future,” Anyem stated, encouraging a collective commitment to ecological stewardship.
