Lira Palwo LC III Chairperson Crosses from FDC to NRM Party

The Agago district resident commissioner, Mr Nabinson Kidega Nok on 2^nd of April 2024 declared the Lira Palwo sub-county chairperson III a full member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

Mr Geoffrey Oweka, the Lira Palwo LC III joined the yellow bus after he handed in his Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) card during the endorsement of Agago west legislature MP Ricky Anywar Richard, who was endorsed by the locals to be a sole candidate come 2026 on the yellow ticket.

While crossing to the ruling NRM party, Oweka pledged full support to the RDC who did not make it as Aruu North MP to contest in 2026.

RDC Nok while endorsing the Agago west MP explains that most of the NRM diehard members are fond of discouraging new recruits, adding that; it will not be the case in Agago district.

Efforts to reach FDC district chairperson for Agago, Mr Ojok John Baptist who doubles as Lamiyo sub-county LC 3 were futile as he did not pick up our repeated phone calls by press time for comments after one of their members disbanded FDC.
