Violent Security guard lynched to death, four arrested in Bushenyi

Police in Bushenyi are investigating circumstances under which a security guard attached to Swatt security ltd was allegedly lynched to death by his colleagues.

The deceased has been identified as Robert Solomon, 24, a security guard who was deployed at Cawa com company along Ishaka -Kasese High way at Cell C Ishaka division Bushenyi -Ishaka Municipality.

According to Martial Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, on 22/11/22 at around 02:00AM, the deceased attacked Pontius Kwikiriza, 35, a night watchman at Gas Petrol station opposite Cawa com company and confronted him for reasons yet to be established.

Tumusiime says, Solomo now the deceased threatened to shoot Kwikiriza before the neighboring security guards responded and beat him until he died at the scene.

He said that police visited the scene and body of deceased was found lying at crime scene with his gun without ammunition placed on his body.

The body which had external injuries on the face and head was taken to Kampala International Teaching Hospital in Ishaka pending postmortem.

He said four suspects were arrested to help in investigation
