Two Killed, Another Hospitalized In Fight Over A girl In Rubanda District

The territorial police of Rubanda district are investigating circumstances under which two people were allegedly murdered.

The two are have been identified as Osbert Natuhwera, 22,a resident of Nyamiyaga village and Amon Kanyesigye, 18, a resident of and Rushekye B, both of Karengyeri parish Muko sub county Rubanda district

It’s alleged that on the 27/11/2022 at around 23:00hours, one Sofan Bikorwamukama and friends who included Amon Kanyesige now the deceased, Robert Ndyomugabe, 19, of Rushekye B village, Karengyere parish, now in police custody and others still at large entered into the bar of one Charles of Karengyere trading center and found there the first victim one Osbert Natuhwera and stabbed him to coma allegedly on issues of a girl friend.

ASP Elly Maate the kigezi Police spokesperson says Natuhwera was rushed to Karengyere drug shop for first aid where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Maate says the angry mob hunted for the assailants and got one Amon Kanyesigye and his other colleague in the center and were beaten to coma, rushed to Mutolere hospital in Kisoro where Kanyesige died on arrival while the colleague yet to be identified is still nursing injuries at the facility.

Police from Muko rushed to the scene, documented both scenes and Postmortem was done.

Maate has told CroozeFM that one suspect identified as Robert Ndyomugabe was arrested to help police in the investigations.
