Bushenyi: Man arrested after allegedly setting fire to father’s house

Police in Bushenyi have arrested an Eighteen-year-old man for allegedly setting fire to his father’s house in Bwegiragye cell, Ward111 Ishaka division in Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality.

The suspect is Owen Twijukye, 18, a son of Ronald Twijukye all residents of Bwegiragye cell Ward III Ishaka division.

According to Ronald Twijukye, he had a disagreement with his son on Tuesday evening before he [son] threatened to either kill him or burn his house.

Francis Matsiko, the area LC 1 chairperson Bwegyiragye cell condemned the act and said the suspect was arrested and is now being detained at Basajabalaba police post pending investigations.

Edmund Mugumya, the LC4 councillor Ward 4 Ishaka division urged residents to always settle their family affairs amicably rather than using violent means.
