Mbarara leaders want UPDF Engineering Brigade to handle government construction

Leaders in Mbarara district want all government construction projects to be handled by UPDF Engineering Brigade.

Herbert Kamugisha the district National Resistance Movement Chairperson who also doubles as the chairperson public accounts committee Mbarara says the move will help avoid delays that have several times been occasioned to government projects by the constructors.

Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi the resident district commissioner Mbarara notes that the practice of using private constructors is a great wastage of government resources.

Turyabagyenyi suggests that the army should be used for all government construction projects since all the projects they have worked on before have lasted and at a low cost.
