At Wang Ooh FM, we are more than just a radio station – we are a beacon of enlightenment and unity in post-war Northern Uganda. Established with a vision to inform, educate, entertain, and empower communities, we have been serving diverse audiences across Agago District and surrounding regions since our inception.
Our Story:
Our journey began with a commitment to bridge the gap between formal and informal education, inspired by the rich tradition of gathering around a campfire to share knowledge and stories. The name “Wang ooh” itself signifies this heritage, reflecting our dedication to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the communities we serve.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower, enlighten, and unify communities through impactful media broadcasting. We strive to address critical issues such as post-war recovery, agriculture, education, livelihoods, gender mainstreaming, and reproductive health, contributing positively to the social and economic development of our broadcast areas.
Vision:
Radio Wang Ooh Limited envisions becoming a beacon of enlightenment and unity in post-war Northern Uganda, fostering informed, educated, and empowered communities. We aspire to be a catalyst for positive change, bridging the gap between formal and informal education through dynamic broadcasting in multiple languages. Our vision is to be a trusted source of information, promoting recovery, cultural preservation, sustainable agriculture, inclusive education, livelihoods, and gender equality in the regions of Karamoja, Acholi, and Lango. We aim to contribute significantly to the social, cultural, and economic revival of the post-conflict zones, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of our diverse audience.

With a powerful 1kw transmitter, we extend our signal across Agago, Pader, Kitgum, Lamwo, Abim, Kotido, Moroto, Otuke, Alebtong, and beyond, reaching listeners in diverse tribes and languages.
