Jubilations as Bishop Kirabo officially opens St. Anatoli Kirigwaijo Karama Catholic Parish under Kibaale vicariate in Kibaale

The Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev Bishop Vincent Kirabo on Sunday officially inaugurated and opened St. Anatoli Kirigwaijo Karama Catholic Parish in Kibaale district amidst jubilations from Christians including clergy, politicians and other different religious believers.

The new Parish which is made up of 16 out stations has been curved from Bujuni, Buseesa and Mituju Catholic Parishes under Kibaale vicariate and Bishop Kirabo has trusted and installed Rev. Fr. John Rukagyaha as the parish priest with Rev. Fr. Solomon Kwikiriza as his curate.

Bishop Kirabo also handed over church instruments including the Canon law, keys, Holy bible among other liturgical books to Rev. Fr. Rukagyaha, the new parish priest with the call to do the work of evangelism in the name of Jesus Christ.

While leading the Holly Mass, Bishop Vincent Kirabo, rallied Christians to utilize the parish to strengthen their faith on top of working hard towards its development.

Joyful Rev. Fr. John Rukagyaha willingly took the oath of office and secrecy to oversee the work of evangelization at the new parish, applauding whoever participated to achieve the desired dream of Karama parish.

Officiating as the chief guest, the Finance Minister Matia Kasaija who was represented by Dr. Emely Kugonza, the MP Buyanja East County applauded Bishop Kirabo for enabling the creating several Catholic Parishes in the Diocese which he says are instrumental in fostering development amongst communities.

The Minister donated 3 million shillings to help in running parish activities.

According to reliable sources, St. Anatoli Kirigwaijo Karama Catholic Parish assumed the status of a proposed parish in November 1995 under the reign of late Bishop Deogratias Byabazaire.
