Pader Town Council Chairperson, Kilama Fearless Wodacholi, has formally declared his intention to contest in the 2026 general elections, assuring residents that nothing will hinder his participation.
Wodacholi said he is fully prepared for his nomination, scheduled for 11 September 2025, and stressed his commitment to serving the community.
Standing on the Democratic Party (DP) ticket, Wodacholi is expected to face rivals for the same position in the forthcoming elections.
Dennis Okullu, Chairperson of the Organising Committee for Wodacholi’s nomination, dismissed circulating rumours questioning the announcement, affirming that all preparations are complete.
Both Wodacholi and Okullu have urged Local Council officials, well-wishers, and members of the public to attend the nomination and show their support.
According to Electoral Commission guidelines, nominations for Sub county and Town Chairpersons and Councillors, including Special Interest Groups (SIGs), will take place from 11 to 24 September 2025.
In Pader Town Council, nominations will be conducted at the Electoral Commission office on Obol Akal Road.
Each venue will be open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, giving aspiring candidates the chance to submit their nomination papers for positions such as Sub-County Chairpersons, Town Chairpersons, Councillors, and SIG representatives, including youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
