Mock Results Present Challenges, Inspire Renewed Determination

The district’s mock examination performance has added urgency to calls for improvement.

Out of 3,504 registered candidates, 1,781 candidates (50.5%) did not pass, while only 94 pupils (2.7%) managed to achieve Division I.

Leaders say that while the figures are worrying, they have intensified the focus on success in the national PLE starting tomorrow.

The Chairperson of the Pader Headteachers’ Association, Mr. Justine Okello Abolo, confirmed that teacher efforts have been relentless in helping candidates prepare.

He reported that briefing of candidates was successfully completed on Friday, 31st October 2025.

“Teachers have done their best. Headteachers must now ensure the wellbeing of our candidates during these two days,” he stated. “Parents should take the lead in ensuring learners report early and enter the examination rooms ready.”

He also urged UNEB officials, including chief invigilators and scouts, to uphold professionalism and integrity.
