Residents of Pader Town Council have applauded the leadership of the Aruu County Mp Hon. Christopher Komakech, describing him as a hardworking and development-focused Member of Parliament who has delivered visible results during his term.
During a campaign rally held on Wednesday at Amor Cell, Luna Parish, Komakech received overwhelming support from voters who pledged to return him to Parliament in the 2026 elections, citing his commitment to improving health, education, and infrastructure in the district.

Akidi Catherine from Oyutu Cell said Komakech has maintained integrity and worked tirelessly to serve his constituents.
“Hon. Komakech Christopher is still working well and has not done anything wrong. With his good work, we want him to go back to Parliament and bring us more development — good roads, clean water, and capital support for mothers and youth,” she said.
She, however, noted that residents still face water challenges because the only borehole in the area has broken down.
“We now share water with animals, and when we go to Alarm Technical and Peace Building Centre, they chase us away,” Akidi added.
Odong Patrick, another resident from the same parish, praised Komakech for promoting education and strengthening the health sector.
“He has worked hard to promote education and health. Awere Health Centre III has already been upgraded to Health Centre IV,” he said.
Patrick appealed to the MP to push for the upgrading of Pader Health Centre III, which he said was not mentioned during President Museveni’s campaign visit to Pajule.
He also called on Komakech to intervene in addressing the high cost of seeds and low prices for produce after harvest, which he said continues to frustrate farmers.
Aweko Mary from Amor Cell also commended Komakech for his commitment to maternal health.
“We have seen good leadership through the support given to mothers who attend antenatal care. They are given books and basins, and the ambulance provided under his leadership helps us a lot,” she said.
Aweko, however, appealed to the MP to repair the broken borehole since many residents fetch water from swamps shared with animals.
Hon. Mark Odeba, Komakech’s campaign manager and aspiring chairperson for Pader Town Council III, used the same rally to rally residents behind Komakech and the NRM.
He appealed to the MP to help repair the broken borehole at Amor Cell and also promised to fix the borehole located at Rwot Jonathan Ocen Anying’s residence, which has also stopped functioning.
In his speech, Hon. Komakech Christopher thanked residents for their continued support and urged them to stand firmly with the NRM government for continued peace and development.
“The Museveni government cannot be challenged,” he said. “For long, the opposition has deceived the people of Pader, but this is the time for residents to rally behind the NRM for real progress.”
As the campaign season intensifies, Komakech remains confident of victory for Aruu County in the upcoming polls, where he will face former legislator Hon. Samuel Odonga Otto, who is running as an independent candidate.
