Kilama Fearless Wodacholi, the Pader Urban Council LC III Chairperson and LC III elect for the 2026–2031 term, has announced a two-week leave to refresh his mind following a prolonged campaign period and his recent return from prison.
Speaking to our reporter recently, Wodacholi said the short break is necessary to allow him time to rest and regain focus after months of intense political activity.
He explained that during his absence from office, his Vice Chairperson, who is also the LC III Councillor for Acoro Parish, Hon. Okello Boso, popularly known as Ocii Acoro, will assume responsibility for office operations.
Wodacholi expressed gratitude to the people of Pader Town Council for their unwavering support during the campaign period and for re-electing him for another term.
He pledged to work tirelessly to ensure that all planned development programs and government services are fully implemented to benefit the community.
Confirming the development, Okello Bosco aka Ocii-Acoro called upon residents to continue visiting the council offices whenever they need assistance, assuring them that service delivery will continue uninterrupted during the chairman’s absence.
He also thanked the people of Pader Town Council for overwhelmingly voting Kilama Fearless Wodacholi back into office.
Okello further appealed to residents to avoid hatred and division following the elections, urging the community to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence as leaders focus on development.
Residents have welcomed his re-election with optimism. Akello Silvia, a resident of Lagwai Central A Cell in Lagwai Parish, described Wodacholi’s victory as a relief, noting that the community missed out on several government programs during his absence, especially while he was in jail.
She said his return to leadership brings hope that stalled services will now be fulfilled.
Lakot Cavin Mercy, a resident of Lagwai B Cell, also praised Wodacholi, recalling how he intervened to secure her release after she was arrested, allowing her to return home and care for her three-month-old baby.
Meanwhile, Mr. Atare Cliff, the Democratic Party (DP) spokesperson, thanked party members and the people of Pader Town Council for once again entrusting the DP with leadership.
He also appreciated the business community for providing both financial and in-kind support during the campaign.
Atare confirmed Wodacholi’s two-week leave, noting that the chairman has been extremely active in the field and deserves time to rest, with his deputy fully in charge during his absence.
