Anglicans in Kotido excited as Canon Aisu is elected Bishop

Election of Rev. Canon Simon Akol Aisu as the new bishop of North Karamoja church of Uganda has excited a section of Christians in diocese.

The house of bishops elected Canon Aisu as the second bishop of North Karamoja diocese on Wednesday and put 12^th February 2023 as the day of his consecration and installation.

In an interview with this radio, Samson Muria the chairperson of the church choir said that it was great news to hear that Aisu was elected bishop adding that it is a sign that God has answered the prayers of the church.

He says that Aisu has exhibited good leadership skills during his time as a sub dean of the church.

The Northern Karamoja diocesan secretary, Mr Simon Ijala, has described the bishop-elect as a down-to-earth man and a seasoned preacher who embraced the gospel from a young age.
