Kotido United Boda Bodas Association Executives in Cells for Mismanaging the Association’s Savings

The executive members of Kotido United Boda Bodas Association are reportedly in police cells for mismanaging the association’s funds.
The three have been identified as Joseph Longoli Kavera the vice chairperson, John Lokidi popularly known as Dr. Boda the security officer and Simon Lokure Longorikan also a security officer.
They were allegedly arrested last Friday by the association members who claim that the three who have been collecting money from all members have failed to provide clear accountability to the members.
To join the association, with over 300 members including Acholi, Jie, Iteso, Langi, Mugishu and Ethur among other tribes, one is reportedly required to pay 150,000 for registration, 10,000 for membership fee and 5,000shsillings to help association members deal with errant members.
Nicholas Lobel a boda rider and a member of the association says that for the last two years the association members have been collecting money blindly and not one has provided them with the details of how much money they have in the association.
Innocent Longok Mamae another boda rider claims that their attempts to seek the whereabouts of the money have been futile. According to Longok is is bringing a rift between the boda bodas operating in town and those at the district level.
Lonyia Richards Lometo Lokamaripus another rider says that the actions of the three executive members have been suspicious.
