Karamoja Primary Schools Converge at Kotido SS for Regional MDD Competitions

Karamoja regional primary school’s music dance and drama competition are set to kick off today at Kotido SS in Kotido Municipality.

The students drawn from over 20 schools from different districts and municipalities within Karamoja sub region started arriving for the competition on Tuesday morning with Karenga Boys primary school arriving at around 8AM.

They were later joined by Pajar primary school, and Kasimeri primary school that arrived in the early afternoon.

They joined St. Daniel Comboni, Lokitelaebu primary school, and Lomukura primary schools from Kotido that emerged winners to represent the district and municipality in the recent district competitions.

Joseph Apedo, the choir trainer for Kamsimeri primary school which has not been beaten in the regional competitions for the last five consecutive years told our reporter on Tuesday that they were ready to defend their title.

Alfred Olanya from Karenga Boys who also arrived early on Tuesday after said they decided to arrive early so that the choir can have enough rest for the day’s competitions.

Thomas Oryono of Pajar primary school says that they have done their best during training and hope to out-compete the rest of the schools in the region.
