In a bid to enhance security in rural areas, the Pader District Police have relaunched the Lapul Sub County Policing Model. The event, held at Lapul Sub County headquarters on July 10, 2025, was attended by local leaders, stakeholders, and residents.

This initiative aims to bring policing services closer to the community, reducing response times and improving overall security. With the addition of Lapul and Ogom, the total number of police establishments in the district has increased to 14.

The Lapul police station currently has 5 personnel, comprising 4 males and 1 female. However, SP Jackson Bogere, Pader District Police Commander, has assured the public that the station will be equipped with sufficient personnel to meet its needs.

The locals of Lapul have welcomed this development, expressing hope for improved security in the area.

This move is part of the Uganda Police Force’s efforts to enhance community policing and security across the region.

The Pader police operate in four sectors: Puranga, Pader CPS, Pajule, and AtangaA policing model that emphasizes community participation in maintaining security.-Reduced response times, improved security, and enhanced community-police relations.
