Buluge & Rapha Secondary schools shine in 2025 UCE Exams

The 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results, released on Friday, 13 February 2025, have placed Buluge Comprehensive School and Rapha Secondary School at the forefront of academic excellence in Lira and beyond.

Both schools achieved a 99% pass rate, highlighting the dedication of students and the effectiveness of their teaching programs.

Buluge Comprehensive School registered 145 candidates for the 2025 UCE exams, all of whom passed. Under the new UNEB grading system (A, B, C, D, E), the school achieved:

  • 51 students in Grade A
  • 70 students in Grades A and B
  • 16 students in Grade B
  • 8 students in Grade C
  • 0 students in Grades D and E

The Director of Studies, Jokene Dickens, said that the school is proud of its top performers, including Muhino Joakib, Adongo Pricilla, Kica Miriam, Nyeko Innocent, and Olila Ivan Olila.

He highlighted that the results reflect high-quality teaching, commitment from students, and the supportive learning environment at Buluge Comprehensive School.

Buluge Comprehensive continues to offer affordable education combined with academic and vocational skills, preparing students for further studies and future careers.

Rapha Secondary School registered 161 candidates, all of whom passed the 2025 UCE exams.

  • 98 students in Grade B
  • 15 students in Grade C
  • 4 students in Grade D

Headteacher Obonyo Jimmy praised the school’s top performers, including Nwall Niwahal Marbiol, an international student from South Sudan, Achola Robinah Konyo from Oyam, Akidi Rachel, and Adrci Steven from Amolatar.

He emphasized that these results reflect the hard work of students and the dedication of the teaching staff, and reaffirm Rapha Secondary’s reputation for academic excellence.
