Archbishop Flynn Secondary School observed Good Friday with a Way of the Cross, bringing students and staff together in reflection on Christ’s passion. Monsignor Matthew Odong encouraged faith, reconciliation, and spiritual renewal ahead of Easter.

Archbishop Flynn Secondary School today observed Good Friday with a solemn Way of the Cross, bringing together students and staff in a spiritual reflection on the passion and death of Jesus Christ.

The event was led by Reverend Father Ocan Kenneth Kennedy, Parish Curate of Blessed Daudi Okello & Jildo Irwa, as part of nationwide commemorations across Uganda.

Monsignor Matthew Odong, Founder and Director of the school, joined students during the procession and delivered a message highlighting the importance of the day.

He emphasized that the Way of the Cross strengthens faith and hope, reminding believers that Christ died to save humanity from sin and reconcile people with God and one another.

Akello Funny Stella, a resident of Ogwaleng Valley Cell, Luna Parish, Pader Town Council, shared a heartfelt Good Friday reflection.

She urged the community to pray, seek forgiveness, and surrender their burdens to God, emphasizing spiritual renewal and the importance of rising with Christ on Easter.

The observance focused on themes of redemption, faithfulness, and moral renewal, encouraging participants to overcome hatred, division, and jealousy.

The message called on individuals to turn to God in order to attain peace and love within families and society.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for spiritual reflection ahead of Easter celebrations.
