Mother elopes, abandons toddler with 75 year old grandfather

A 75 year old man living in Abeja Sub County, Amolatar district is undergoing serious suffering with his three year old grand child who has been abandoned by his mother.

The seemingly malnourished minor lives with his grandfather, Ogwang Benard in Gee village, Lubiri parish, Abeja Sub County.

Felix Apenyo the LC3 chairman of Abeja said the mother of the child called Adongo Robinah separated with her husband, Okello Terrance and later eloped with another man from Adjumani district.

Apenyo adds that the father of the child, Okello Terrance ran mad last year leaving the child under the care of Okello’s father who is the grandfather of the child.

He said one week ago, Amai community hospital diagnosed the child with malnutrition.

Apwenyo has asked well-wishers to support the well-being of this child through various contributions.
