President of the National Unity Platform –NUP party, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine has castigated the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government over failure to revive Lira Spinning Mill to create employment opportunities for people of Lango.
Government privatized Lira Spinning Mill and offered the company to Jinda International Textile Cooperate Ltd (JITCO) in 2005 with hope of creating employment to 500 people, but it later collapsed.
In a radio talk show held Voice of Lango this afternoon, president of NUP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu blamed NRM government for the collapse of Lira Spinning Mill which government has since failed to revive.
