Bishop Kami warns against witchcraft

The Bishop emeritus of diocese of Lango Rev. John Charles Odur has warned against witchcraft practices and idolatry.

Bishop Kami said witchcraft is a sin and those involved in it will not see the kingdom of God.

He made the warning at the burial of Mzee Samson Ogwang who was an advisor to the clan head of Araki Kwar-nguny at his home in Obelowe, Okwongodul Sub County, Dokolo district.

Bishop Kami said most people are trusting in witchcraft to protect their lives, forgetting that God is the sole life giver.

The deputy speaker of Tekwaro Lango who is also the clan leader of Atek-opayat Moses Ongeng who represented the institution leader, Eng. Dr. Michael Moses Odongo Okune called for unity among the people of Lango to lobby development for the region.

Ongeng also challenged men to offer moral guidance to their children to mitigate their chances of being influenced by bad foreign cultures and practices.
