Lango province emerge champions of 2023 Fufa Drum tournament

Lango Province has emerged champions of the 4th edition ( 2023) Fufa Drum tournament.

Lango province lifted the trophy after triumphing over Busoga province, beating them 2-1 in a game played the Philp Omidi Stadium, Lugogo, Kampala this evening.

Darius Ojok and Obua Emmanuel scored the two goals for Lango province while Lawrence Tebikya scored the consolation goal for Busoga province.

This is the second time Lango province has played the final of the fufa Drum tournament, having lost to West Nile province in the previous campaign.

Fufa Drum is a football tournament that was introduced by the Ugandan football governing body, the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) in 2018 to take football closer to the masses through provinces.

It is played by 14 provinces across the country, under the theme “celebrating our ancestry.”
