CMD Construction Company, tasked with building the Lango Cultural Palace, has expressed optimism about completing the project within one year, provided the government delivers funding in a timely manner.
Initially planned for completion within three years, the project could be finished sooner if financial resources are made available without delay.
During a monitoring visit by ministers from the Lango Cultural Foundation, CMD contractor, Eng. Robert Ocen, stressed that although the original timeline was set for three years, completion within a year is achievable if the necessary funds are promptly disbursed.
Levi Okodi Macpio, the 1st Deputy Prime Minister of the Lango Cultural Foundation, praised the strategic location of the cultural palace. He noted that the site’s solid foundation, due to the presence of stones in the area, would ensure the building’s durability and stability.
The Minister for Works, Abal Patrick, also expressed optimism that the project would be completed on time.
Adupa Ongwec, the Minister for Science, Innovation, and Technology, confirmed that funding for the Lango Cultural Palace project had already been allocated by the Office of the Prime Minister.
