A 15-year- old girl is among the 2627 candidates who were briefed yesterday to sit for Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE), scheduled to begin on Wednesday in Kibaale district.

The pregnant girl, whose identity is withheld since she is a minor, is one of the 33 candidates registered at the Kiriika Primary school UNEB examination centre in Bubango subcounty, Kibaale District.

Abraham Abesiga, the Deputy Head teacher at Kiriika Primary School, declined to comment on the situation of the pregnant minor. However, KDR FM reporters have learned that the girl’s parents and the suspected secondary school boy responsible for the pregnancy reached an agreement to handle the matter privately.

KDR FM reporters observed that all the 2,627 Primary Seven candidates registered to sit for exams at the 47 centres in Kibaale district have been successfully briefed on the examination dos and don’ts.
