Minister Kasaija Awards Best Performing 2020 PLE Candidates, Stakeholders

Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija has recognized and awarded 26 best
performing Buyanja Constituency students at PLE level, 5 best head
teachers and 10 best schools for the academic year 2020.
The annual Awards are part of Minister Kasaija’s initiatives aimed at
encouraging better performance to the students in Kibaale District.
The awarding ceremony held at St Theresa Bujuni P/s today afternoon
saw last year’s best performers at P.7 awarded certificates,
mattresses, and bedsheets among other prizes.
Before handing over the prizes to the performers, Kasaija who is also
the MP Buyanja County hailed the district education stakeholders for
supporting education but asks learners to focus on education and never
be tempted to get married at an early age.
Gorret Nambiro, the Inspector of Schools in charge of guidance and
counseling read out names of the best 13 candidates from government
aided schools, 13 others from private schools, 06 best performing girl
children.
They also issued out certificates of recognition to the 5 best
Government aided schools and 5 best private schools including Kibeedi,
Nyamarunda, Kyanyi, Kikangahara and Bujuni P/S, Holly Angels, Kibaale
Parents, Nyamarunda junior, Nyamarunda parents and St Mary’s
respectively.
Others awarded are the 5 best Head teachers from Government aided
schools namely, Andrew Tindyebwa from Bujuni Boys P/S, Wilson Kweezi
from Nyamarunda P/S, Timothy Sekitya from Kibeedi P/S, Miriam Kisembo
from Kikangahara P/S and Deo Akuherenda from Kyanyi primary schools.
The best 5 Head teachers from Private schools are, Asumpto Kahiira
from Holy Angels, Majara B Godfrey from St Marys, Allen Drate from
Kibaale parents, Ategeka Matia from Nyamarunda Junior and Victor
Katusabe from Nyamarunda Parents.
Asumpto Kahiira from Holy angles And Andrew Tibamwenda from Bujuni P/S
were given Academic shields as the best 2 head teachers in Education
sector and Kibaale Town council was named the best Sub county.
Jolly speaking best performers including learners, Parents and
teachers hail Matia Kasaija’s initiative towards uplifting the
education standards in Kibaale.
The District Education Officer Kibaale, John Kyabona says that this
initiative is encouraging competition among students and teachers to
perform better hence improved education standards.
