Over 44.6 million shillings collected towards completion of St Joseph Muhangi Catholic Church in Kibaale

Over 44.6 million shillings including the pledges has been collected today towards the completion of St Joseph Muhangi catholic church in Kibeedi catholic parish, Mugarama Sub County Kibaale district.

The funds were raised today during the fundraising drive that was led by Minister of finance Matia Kasaija together with Christian community of St Joseph Muhangi outstation proposed parish.

Officiating as the chief guest, the Prime Minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja who blessed the fundraising drive drummed support for the area MPs due to the team work and visionary leadership imploring the public to embrace government programs aiming at elevating poverty and asked everyone to go for NRM membership registration.

Nabbanja donated 10 million shillings cash, 630,000shs contribution by workers from office of prime minister, military soldiers working with United Nations (UN) donated 2 million shillings cash and pledged other 2 million.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija and his family contributed 10 million shillings cash, delivered 1 million from Dr Emmanuel Kiiza Aliba the board chairperson micro finance support centre among other financial support from his friends commending Christians for supporting church activities but similarly recognized the team work among political leaders of Kibaale focused on service delivery.

The fundraising drive was graced by different dignitaries including Buyanja East MP Dr Emely Kugonza who supported with 2.4M cash, District Woman MP Kibaale Noeline Kisembo Basemera supported with 2M cash and Joseph Tumwesigye the MP Bugangaizi South in Kakumiro district supported with 1M cash thanking electorates for voting visionary leaders.

Other invited guests and committed Christians of St Joseph Muhangi catholic church verbally gave out their financial support aiming at completing the construction works.

The fundraising drive started with the holy mass that was led by Rev Fr Joseph Balikudembe the private secretary of RT Bishop Vincent Kirabo the Bishop of Hoima Catholic Church together with Rev Fr John Baptist Sebitosi the parish priest of Kibeedi catholic parish.
