Leaders in Lango have threatened to protest against the government over irregularities identified in the ongoing cattle compensation exercise. They made these remarks during a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurance yesterday.

Lira district woman MP, Linda Agnes Auma, stated that a total of 130,000 war claimants in Lango were supposed to receive compensation, but only 42,000 have been validated. MP Auma blamed the Attorney General for the situation, noting that war claimants in Acholi and Teso are receiving their due compensation, unlike those in Lango.
