The construction of teacher’s house at Teboke Primary school in Apac district to kickoff

The construction of teacher’s house at Teboke Primary school in Apac district that was halted by police following controversy over the construction site has been allow to go on.

Recently, Christopher Beigana, the officer in charge of Apac Central Police station halted the construction on behalf of Uganda police force after Teboke primary school and Teboke catholic Mission failed to harmonize their tension.

Beigana in the stakeholders meeting convened by Sam Opira, the Apac District secretary of Health and Education guided that the two parties form select committee to get agreeable point.

On Tuesday, the select committee sat and agreed that the construction can move on. Another resolution was that Teboke Primary school will give some land where the Church will use to create the pass way. 

In the controversy, the school management committee of Teboke Primary school headed by Francis Odongo Achanga, were claiming that they have secured one development partner who has donated fund to construct the 4 bedroom house but administrator of Teboke Catholic Mission are blocking the construction work for yet unclear reasons.

This however sparked emotion from a section of parents who backed SMC to pursue the matter till their win.

But Rev Fr Carlos Ojuka, the parish priest of Teboke catholic parish informed the meeting says the church is not in land conflict with school apart from SMC approach to keep church who is the foundation body unaware of such development.

Sam Opira, the Apac district secretary for Health and education also reiterates the need for dialogue so that SMC does not act out of law.
