Three Teachers died in Oyam District in a space of one week

Oyam district education department is saddened by death of three teachers in the district in the space of one week.

They include Rev Deacon Stephen Otim, a teacher of Oyoe primary school in Aber Sub County who died on Sunday morning.

Other teachers are Francis Ojok, a head teacher of Onekgwok primary school who died from Lira Regional Referral Hospital on Monday where he was admitted over heart disease and Tommy Arac, the retired head teacher of Ototong Primary school who died from St Mary’s Hospital Lacor on Thursday.

Casmiro Olobo, the chairperson UNATU-Oyam branch described the death as a tragedy to the education department because even the available teachers are not enough to cater for the current number of learners.
