Lango locals donate over 16,000 units of blood in one year

Residents of the Lango sub-region donated a total of 16,931 units of blood last year to support various health needs across the region.

Hellen Grace Anyoda, Senior Blood Donor Recruitment Officer at Lira Regional Blood Bank, attributed this success to the strong cooperation and community spirit of the people of Lango in supporting effective healthcare delivery.

Anyoda also urged leaders at all levels to support blood donation campaigns by helping to mobilise more people to donate blood and save lives.

Of the 16,931 units of blood collected, 14,566 were distributed to various health facilities across Lango to meet the region’s medical needs.
