25-year-old Man Murdered by Unknown Assailants, Police Arrest one Suspect

Detectives from Kibaale Central Police Station have arrested a worker from Kibaale District Multipurpose Hall construction site being undertaken by Sasali Contractors Company to aid investigations into the gruesome murder of a 25-year-old man.

Preliminary Police investigations indicates that the murder of Cleophus Kyaligonza, a resident of Mukumbwa village, Bwamiramira Sub county in Kibaale district occurred on Friday night at around 10pm as the deceased was enroute back home from Kibaale Health Centre IV where he had a sick relative.

It is alleged that Kyaligonza who was riding a motorcycle (number plate concealed by police) met his death a few meters away from Kibaale Central Police Station.

Tadeo Kyaligonza, the father of the deceased narrates that he received the sad news of his son’s murder on Saturday morning.

Nobert Ochom, the Kibaale District CID who declined to be recorded says detectives picked one of the workers from the construction site of the Kibaale District local government’s multipurpose hall being undertaken by Sasali Construction Company.

He declined to reveal the identities of the suspect as the other workers at the same site have gone into hiding.
