The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) Kibaale branch has received 28 registration kits in preparation for the mass national identification registration exercise.
Speaking to our reporters at the NIRA offices in Kibaale, Tom Ambrose, the NIRA Information Technology Officer for Greater Kibaale, revealed that the 28 kits include laptops, cameras, scanners, solar panels, ring lights, backcloth, and modems, among other essential equipment.
Ambrose notes that the activities to be conducted next month will include renewing, registering new clients, and rectifying national identity cards, among other tasks.
Ambrose has urged communities to embrace the forthcoming exercise in order to avoid challenges related to National Identification cards.
