Several acres of crop gardens and houses have been destroyed following a hailstorm in Kibaale Town Council and Bwamiramira Subcounty in Kibaale District.

The hailstorm, which occurred on Tuesday, is reported to have ravaged various crops, including banana plantations, cassava and maize, and also unroofed two houses.

The affected areas include Ngangi A Cell in Kibaale Town Council, and Kikaada and Kiyanda villages in Bwamiramira Subcounty.

Leonard Kayonga, the Chairperson of Ngangi A, has called for urgent assistance from government authorities and Good Samaritans. He also urged residents to plant trees near their homes to help prevent similar incidents.
