Over 300 households in Kibaale Counting Losses as Hailstorm Devastate Villages

More than 300 households in Kibaale District are counting losses after their gardens were devastated by a hailstorm. 

The affected villages include Kasambya, Kineka A and B, Kikonge B, all in Bwamiramira Sub County and Kidukuule in Kabasekende Sub County Kibaale district.

Residents say about 8 houses have been unroofed and crops such as coffee, bananas, sweet potato gardens were destroyed whereas 7 pigs, 1 goat and poultry birds have.

Local leaders led by Ginazio Byaruhanga the parish councilor of Kibaali parish and Paul Balikurungi of Kidukuule village have told our reporter that, the residents are in dire need for help from the authorities.
