Spina bifida victims tipped on environmental friendly living.

In a one week engagement with the children with Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus held at st Theresa day and boarding primary school organized by Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus association of Uganda (SHAU), termed as youth independent wee k that attracted 42 participants where 21 where suffering for Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus and 21 there caretakers during the sessions many topics where handled including positive living with environment and climate change.

According to Mrs Jackie Ahimbisibwe the assistant programs manager in charge eastern region the people with Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus and there caretakers should know how to manage wastes in the community around them,plant trees and have backyard gardens and properly use the swamps because if they do not practice this the global impact of environmental and climate change my not spare them and they are effected most.So they were encouraged at least to manage where they stay and with backyard gardens can grow vegetables which is a source of food rich in proteins and victims plus colorophyl which is important to there bodies in addition to the green cover in the area. On trees Jackie said when you plant a tree creates shades and also attracts raining formation in a long run among others.

The participants included the mothers who could take action and remember they are the caretakers of the children with Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus and promised to be deducted on managing wastes and protection of environment around there homes with tree planting ideas and there peers. The above was termed as obutumulamu.

They were also told about the causes of Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus and there prevention because according to health experts this effect is caused by ineffective use of phoric acid tablets during pregnancy

According to Dr Brian kisambira an official from kamuli the district health office said parents should Keep those children safe and clean by providing the necessary requirements and also protect them from the some other diseases, he also explained the causes of Spina bifida and hydrosiphorus and it’s preventive measures

Some of the participants and victims of Spina bifida asked commended SHAU Uganda for the effective work done in them because others were lacking the knowledge of skills and how to take care of themselves One Nangobi Mariam said she can now teach others on positive living and she can also manage to pad herself and change because she had naive in doing so

The children were also taken out for swimming in of there last activities to show them some happiness and exposure in there lives and many were very happy with their parents who thought they couldn’t reach that way
