Jonal Okot, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Apac, who represented RDC Andrew Onyuk at the flag off ceremony of the students, appreciated parents for entrusting their children to the government program.
He also thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for prioritizing youth empowerment through skilling.
Okot said the trainees will undertake courses in carpentry and joinery, tailoring and garment cutting, shoemaking, hairdressing, among others.
Since the Skilling Hub’s inception, over 200 students from Apac District have graduated with practical skills to support themselves and their communities.
