Lira City’s Mentor SS Shines as Student Wins National Math Contest

Mentor Secondary School in Lira City is in a jubilant mood after one of its students emerged winner of the 2025 National Mathematics Contest held at Makerere University.

Marvin Jovan Ojok, a Senior Four student, clinched the top spot in the prestigious competition.

He attributed his success to commitment and hard work in his academic journey and encouraged fellow students to take part in similar contests to boost their confidence and skills.

Speaking about the achievement, Okwara John Augustus, the Head Teacher of Mentor Secondary School – Akwoyo Campus, said the school provides proper academic guidance and mentorship to learners to help them realize their full potential.
