NCDC trains Pajule town council primary school teachers

The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) today trained primary school teachers in Pajule town council to empower them in a bid to improve Primary Leaving Examination (P.L.E.) performance.

A team from the NCDC visited Pajule to provide an in-depth explanation of the curriculum, ensuring that the teachers understand it and are able to interpret it effectively for their pupils.

The initiative, lobbied by Pajule town council, aimed at equipping the teachers with techniques for handling learners and also refreshing them on skills they may have forgotten.

Adong Bena, a participant, told LUO F.M. that the training had refreshed her mind, as there were aspects of what she had learned in primary school that she had forgotten but was able to recall.

Odong Philip, the head teacher of Pajule Primary School in Pajule town council, says that this training was long-awaited and has come at the right time.

The training is aimed at increasing the number of first-grade students in Pajule town council. Representatives from Paiula sub county, Lapul, and Bongtiko sub counties also attended to benefit from the training.

Okello Tito Brilliant says the quality of any primary school depends on the competence of its teachers, as these learners place their full trust in them, as instilled by their elders.

Pajule town council has seven primary schools, but only three UNEB examination centres.
