The appointments aim to strengthen leadership coordination, improve service delivery, and enhance accountability across all sectors of the district.
According to the district administration, the selection process considered regional balance, gender inclusion, professional competence, governance experience, and security awareness, in line with the development priorities for the new term.

Okidi Charles Alexander, the district councilor representing Lira Kato Sub-county, has been appointed Secretary for Finance, Planning and Administration, where he will oversee budgeting, planning, and administrative systems.

All appointed officials have formally accepted their respective positions on the Executive Committee.
The District Chairperson cautioned the newly appointed executives against engaging in operations outside the district, urging them to remain within the district in the course of their official duties, except during weekends when necessary.
The committee is expected to drive Agago District’s development agenda for the 2026–2031 term, with emphasis on infrastructure expansion, improved education outcomes, strengthened financial management systems, and enhanced public service delivery.
The Council has retained oversight authority over the Executive Committee, with accountability measures in place to ensure consistent performance and adherence to service delivery standards across all departments.
The new administrative framework also emphasizes discipline, with absentee leadership and non-performance strongly discouraged.
