Fifty-two Christians graduated from a three-month discipleship and leadership training at PAG Pader Town Church in Pader Town Council under Favour of God Ministry’s REEP Programme. Church leaders and graduates praised the programme for strengthening faith, leadership, counseling, evangelism, and community unity. Organizers said the initiative aims to transform lives spiritually, emotionally, and socially across northern Uganda communities.

A spirit of celebration, unity, and renewed faith filled PAG Pader Town Church in Lwala Cell, Luna Parish, as 52 Christians graduated from a three-month discipleship and leadership training programme organized under the REEP Programme of Favour of God Ministry.

The graduation ceremony, attended by pastors, church leaders, and believers from different denominations, marked more than the completion of a Bible course.

It symbolized a growing movement of spiritual renewal and community transformation in northern Uganda.

Speaking during the ceremony, Akidi Vicky, Chairperson of the Children’s Ministry at PAG Pader Town Church, described the event as a testimony of God’s grace and Christian unity among believers from different denominations.

“This training has brought together pastors, church leaders, church members, and Christians from different denominations. Through this programme, we have gained knowledge, wisdom, and understanding of God’s Word,” said Akidi Vicky.

Akidi Vicky thanked Favour of God Ministry for sending teachers who dedicated three months to equipping believers with biblical knowledge free of charge and without discrimination based on denomination.

She added that the training had strengthened her confidence in serving God and inspired her to continue growing spiritually.

The programme leadership was represented by Odong Richard, Assistant Coordinator of the REEP Programme in the Acholi Sub-region under Favour of God Ministry and the Portable School Mini Bible Course Ministry Department.

Odong Richard described the initiative as part of a broader mission to transform lives spiritually, emotionally, and socially through discipleship, evangelism, leadership development, trauma counselling, and trauma healing.

“Our focus is simple to change one life, because when one life is changed, that person can also help change others,” said Odong Richard.

He explained that Favour of God Ministry currently operates in the Acholi, Lango, Karamoja, and West Nile sub-regions, where it continues to promote healing, counseling, empowerment, and Christian discipleship.

During the training, participants received lessons in Bible sharing, evangelism, leadership development, Christian service, trauma healing, and unity among believers.

Among the graduates, testimonies revealed the deep personal impact the programme had on participants.

Ana Imol Bedagonya, a resident of Opongbenge in Acoro Parish, Pader Town Council and church member at Opongbenge PAG Church, said the training strengthened her preaching skills and deepened her faith.

“Through these trainings, I have gained courage, wisdom, and deeper understanding of the Word of God,” Ana Imol Bedagonya said.

Ayoo Easter, a resident of Lwala Ward, Luna Parish, Pader Town Council and church member of Pader Town PAG Church, testified that the programme transformed her from a fearful believer into a confident church leader.

“As I speak now, I have been given the responsibility of serving as the women leader in the church, and I accepted it with courage and confidence,” said Ayoo Easter.

Aya Betty, a resident of Opongbenge, Acoro Parish, Pader Town Council and church member of Opongbenge PAG Church, said the training improved both her spiritual and family life by teaching her how to counsel others, strengthen relationships, and live peacefully within the community.

Omol Bazil Bedagonya, Pastor at Opongbenge PAG Church in Acoro Parish, Pader Town Council, said the programme had significantly enhanced his leadership and counseling skills.

“This is now my third time participating in this training because there is no overdose of the Word of God,” said Omol Bazil Bedagonya.

Moll Bazil Bedagonya explained that previous trainings were held at St. John Church of Uganda in Pader Labongo in 2022 and St. Peter’s Church of Uganda in Ogom-Telela in 2024, before the latest training at Opongbenge PAG Church where he serves as pastor.

Organizers emphasized that the certificates awarded during the ceremony represent not the end of learning, but the beginning of greater service in the Kingdom of God.

As the graduates left with certificates in hand, the message from Pader was clear: the training has not only educated minds, but reshaped lives, strengthened faith, and built a new generation of empowered Christian leaders.
